OUT OF SURGERY!!!

Jett was in surgery for almost 2 hours.
Luckily he has his own room for now; which
makes the hospital stay a little easier.
The goal now is to keep him out of pain and
get his body to calm down enough to keep something
in his tummy.
He can only have IV morphine every 6 - 8 hours,
but when he can keep food down he'll be able to
have some other pain medication intermittently.
Jett is so happy that his HALO is blue!
(Yes it is screwed to his head)
Just before he comes home there will be another
part attached that will connect from the front part of
the halo to his mouth. It will stabilize the movement and
keep his top jaw in place while his body heals
the bone.
You can't imagine how horrible it is to see
your child in this much pain until you
experience it.
Please pray for Scott, Nicole, and Jett.
Love you Jett, Antie Au....

I am glad the halo is blue too - much better than boring ol' black. We are praying specifically for Jett to have less pain, the ability to eat and much comfort for all of you! Can't wait for the day when this is all manifested as worth it - it will come.

love you - Lisa & Allie

this is wierd because my angel halo is invisible, much less a pretty blue!!!! We pray peace for you and Scott and we pray for a more pain free experience for Jett. I'm curious to see what he will try to hang from it when he gets home. He will probably find a way to flip rubber bands at visitors. What an awesome example of strength Jett is!!!! Love the Haynie's

Hey Jett
You are very brave. Be tough drink lots of shakes and before you know it your 2 months will be over and you can eat fruit snacks again. You are in the best place for surgery I am sure they will spoil you all they can to make your time pass quickly.
